Vice President of Operations
Currently Vice President of Operations for Austin Electric Services LLC, Joe began working with Austin Electric in June of 2003. He began as a part time “trimmer” while he was still working full time as a 2nd shift supervisor at a local print shop. He worked at that print shop for 7 years and was ready for a change so when he was offered a full time supervisory position for Austin Electric in 2004 he accepted it. He starting managing a few small communities in the far west valley and was completing about 10-15 rough installs and 10-15 trim installs a week. Over the next 4 years his area grew to dozens of communities producing nearly 2000 roughs and 2000 trims per year. During the housing crisis Joe helped Austin Electric manage its costs and he was part of a small team that facilitated downsizing the company adapting it to the new market conditions. In 2011 Joe was promoted to Lead Estimator and brought his field experiences and knowledge of the processes into his new role. These field experiences brought insight into how projects were being bid and provided value engineering opportunities to Austin Electric's building partners. Some of these opportunities provided very significant savings to Austin Electrics builder partners. In December 2013 Joe was promoted to Vice President of Operations where he currently oversees the daily operations of Austin Electric Services LLC. Joe was raised in Glendale Arizona where he attended Cactus High School and went on to attend Northern Arizona University. East Valley Scheduling Manager
Jose is Austin Electrics schedule manager for our east valley for operations. Jose came to Austin Electric in 2005 as a superintendent, leaving behind a 5 year supervisor position for another local electrical contractor. Jose followed in the footsteps of his brother Jorge who also works with Austin Electric and who recommended Jose come join the team. Jose and Jorge are great electricians and both have positive attitudes and practice strong work ethics. Jose credits his parent for teaching them to always work hard and always do their best. Because of these skills Jose quickly worked himself up through the management position to a General Superintendent in which he managed multiple communities and dozens of employees and now to his current role as our East Side Scheduling Manager. During his time working in the field he managed one of our busiest and most successful communities for Shea Homes called Encanterra. Jose was able to create relationships with not only the builder’s staff, but all of the other trades and the homeowners as well. This was a very complex product as well as a fast moving community and Jose managed it perfectly. Jose was raised in Mexico and his parents brought him to Arizona when he was 17 right after high school graduation. In high school Jose studied electronic engineering. Jose got married in September of 2002 to his wife Patricia and now they have 3 wonderful kids ages 8, 6, and 3. Jose’s favorite thing to do when he’s not working is spending as much time with his family as possible. He enjoys playing sports with the kids, taking the family camping or pretty much any outdoor activity. Jose was very active with his Church helping to mentor youth groups, Catechism and fund raising. He really enjoys helping others but right know his main focus is on his kids. Jose is always challenging himself to do better and is a great self-motivator. He works great by himself or with a team. He likes being challenged with electrical issues to push himself to always be learning more. Jose is a great role model and an example of what Austin Electric looks for when trying to find great managers.
Jose Lopez started working for Austin Electric Services LLC in 2005 as a rough in electrician. Soon after he advanced to a hot checker and service technician. In 2006 Jose became supervisor for the wonderful and busy Shea Homes Trilogy @Vistancia Community. In 2007 Jose quickly worked his way up the ladder and was promoted to General Superintendent for the entire East Valley. This required Jose to have a knowledge and skillset to manage dozens of crews in multiple jurisdictions. Jose was very successful in this position and helped the company grow over the next six years. In 2013 he was integral in developing a management position to manage the thousands of plans that Austin Electric is wiring and tracking the daily redlines to those plans. Jose is now Austin Electrics full time Plan Manager which has allowed not only Austin Electric to run more efficienciently, but has allowed Austin Electric to pass on additional saving to our trade partners. Jose prides himself in what he has accomplished and likes to know that he plays an important role for Austin Electric. When not in the office Jose enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and two boys having fun going to sporting events, especially Arizona Cardinals games and taking road trips to Northern Arizona towns such as Sedona and Flagstaff.
